Position Overview

We are seeking a well qualified and experienced individual to fill a full time Accountant position.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
• An ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality concerning financial information
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude with a focus on results

Responsibilities

• Account reconciliations and maintenance of spreadsheets
• Accruals and journal entries
• Assisting with Bank reconciliations and monthly bank reporting requirements
• Assisting with AR, AP as necessary
• Preparation and submission of monthly reconciliation reports
• Problem solving, assisting and mentoring of administrative staff
• Assistance with Month end and year end reporting requirements

Requirements

• 3rd Level CGA or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Excellent computer skills including a strong skills in Simply Accounting and MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience working in a multi-company environment
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and organization in managing financial information
• Experience working with cost accounting, inventory and WIP in a sales and distribution environment
