Family office based in Idaho Falls, Idaho has a new position in its management group. We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining accounting, reporting and operational record-keeping processes for all cattle, horse and farming activities. The right person will be a resourceful problem-solver and team player who thrives in a high-pressure environment. A minimum of 2-4 years of financial management experience is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of general ledger
- Maintenance of cattle, horse and farm records such as genetics, breeding, inventory and location of livestock
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Cash management
- Provide support to management for budgeting & valuations
- Joint Venture accounting
- Assist management in operation of joint ventures and accountability of joint venture partners
- Process documentation and suggestions for enhancements to processes and controls
- Assist in horse and cattle auctions by receiving payments or otherwise supporting the sales
Reporting deliverables include:
- Monthly financial statements for individual entities or divisions for review by management
- Periodic requests by management and owner for information
- Routine financial packages for lenders or joint venture partners
