Hello,
My name is Eric Roy and some have already receive an email about this but there was a few questions about the legitimacy of what was going on. The following is what we would like to happen for our friend and also what my Wife Lora did to get the information out to the public.
On Sunday April 13, 2008 Lora and I went to visit our friend Zelma Holt and brought her a few things that she needed. Lora and I have known Zelma for some time but we had never been in her house until Sunday and what we saw broke our hearts. During my time in the military I spent about about five years in third world countries and have seen better living conditions than what Zelma has to deal with. She keeps her trailer very clean but it is falling apart around her ears. The ceiling is caving in, and she has only one electrical plug that works. It runs her fridge her tv, and her lamp. She has no heat or air and the temperature affects her condition. Our friend Zelma has epilepsy and is disabled and she lives off what little money the government gives her. She was able to budget enough money to purchase this property with a trailer on it that was supposed to be scrapped and a private individual was going to move a better mobile on to the property but a storm destroy the mobile before it was delivered. Zelma is still paying for the destroyed mobile and living in the trailer that was supposed to be scrapped. When Lora and I left Zelma's we knew in our hearts we had to help her, so we prayed to God for what to do, that night before bed Lora told me she was going walk from Zelma's place in Buena Vista, Ga to Preferred Mobile Homes in Columbus, Ga which was about 30 miles. Lora told me she was going to do this to draw attention to how Zelma has to live so that we can raise money to help her get a newer mobile from Preferred Mobile Homes.
Our goal is to raise enough money to pay for the mobile home which Preferred Mobile Homes has reduced the price on and will deliver and set up for free. If everybody who reads this email will send $1.00 we will have raised enough money to buy her a used remodeled home. Click on the link to see the news story about my Wife's walk.
