Several years ago we "lost" our '69 Firebird shell to a local "sandblaster" that totally warped every body panel on the entire shell. Initially, the price was right, but in the end, our entire shell had to be rebuilt (see picture at left). Beware of blasters that focus on sandblasting buildings, snow plows, dump trucks and other heavy equipment. Damage (blow through), warped panels and left behind residue are the biggest concerns car restorers should have when choosing a media blaster. At Classic Car Blasting, we focus exclusively on classic vehicles and we are geared toward the needs of auto enthusiasts. We do not sandblast buildings, bridges, brick walls, old mill buildings or construction equipment. Our blasting equipment, media selection, technique and patience are essential to producing high quality results. We media blast with the appropriate equipment and media for blasting cars; a low PSI with a smaller media tip, to achieve the proper results...this means no warping, blow-through or damage. Faster is not better when it comes to media blasting classic cars. Our facility is setup specifically to accommodate vehicles. We have a large 12x12 overhead door that directly accesses our automotive blast booth for easy drop-off and pick up. We loan the use of "body dollies" that enable us (and you) to move around a bare shell very easily. We have the ability to indoor store as many as six vehicles at any time to ensure that your vehicle is never exposed to the weather. In the near future we will also be offering pick up and delivery service in an enclosed car trailer.
