These are the original classic Ellery Queen books. The DUTCH SHOE MYSTERY paperback pocket book is a first publication for Pocket Book Publishers dated 1942 which the other pocket book, THE EGYPTIAN CROSS MYSTERY, is also a first printing for this publisher in 1943. Both of these books are in good condition. The first books cover is somewhat in better condition than the seconds. The pages are white but there is a small amount of ink that smudged on a couple pages during the years on the second book. This does not take away from the looks of the book. 

Since these books were published during WW II, these books carry information about sending them to service men over seas upon completion of reading, and buying US War Savings Bonds and Stamps.

The first mystery magazine was published for distribution in July of 1944 while the second one was published for distribution in September of 1950. They both are in good condition. The covers are intact as well as the pages. However, the pages haved yellowed due to age.
