Hello, my name is Melissa and I am a mother of 2 wonderful kids ages 8 and 5 years. I have been married for 12 years. I opened my home to other children 7+ years ago to provide a loving place where they could grow and learn in a safe enviroment. I have also cared for children in my church nursery for the past 16 years as a lead teacher in each of the classrooms. I have also worked in a day care center with infants, toddlers, and after school children. I have enjoyed coaching my daugter's cheerleading squad for the past 2 years and I love watching my son play baseball and soccer. I love children and enjoy watching them discover new things. I love to be active in their lives and help them discover their great tallents and interests.

I currently have a FULL or PART time spot open. I'm looking to fill this spot with a child age from infant to 3 yrs. I am very comfortable with preemies as well. If you are interested please contact me and we can plan a time for you to visit my home. You will find a very clean and organized play room filled with age appropriate toys, games, books, and more to encourage fun learning. Each child has their own comfortable crib for napping. Out back I have a fenced in yard with a swing set, sand box, and outdoor toys. We also enjoy having lunch or snacks at the kid picnic table under the covered side padio. Each child is given individual time with me to explore new things and grow. I will work on potty training as well when that time comes. I will provide lunch, snacks, and drinks to children over 12 months. Some activities we will do each day will be singing, reading books, looking through flash cards to name (objects, letters, numbers, colors). We will put together puzzles, color, and playing silly games to review all the basic things. I want to make learning fun and exciting so the children will always enjoy learning as they get older. I want the kids to feel comfortable and safe with me and have fun being a kid. I am listed with the state and keep a low ratio. I have a clean background check on myself, husband, and my mother who will step in if I have to be away during part of the day. I live in a nice neighborhood in McKinney which is easy to get to from 121 and 75. We are a smoke free home.

I want to open my arms to recieving another child to love on, to help them grow, and to give the parents a good feeling knowing that their child is being well taken care of. I have references available.
