Renee's Rugrats Childcare and Preschool My Name is Renee. I have an Associates Degree in Child Development. Children have always been a passion of mine. I want to help children to grow and get ready for school. I have a development room in my home for your children, offering a warm and inviting environment. I help the children grow at their own pace, focusing on cognitive language, social emotional, physical, and creative development. I will build a relationship not only with the children but with the whole family. In my program we use the different development theories of Erikson, Piaget, and Vygotsky to understand the children and help them grow. We encourage the children to become independent, problem solvers, and make their own choices. Infants Infant age 0 weeks to 12 months. The curriculum for infants is play. Playing is how they learn and explore their world. They're learning from sounds around them, interacting with other babies and their care givers. Every day you will get a love note about your child's day. This note includes changes, naps, feeding times, bottles, and what they did during the day. When the weather is nice the children will get a chance to go outside. Toddlers Toddlers age 12 months to 36 months. The curriculum for our toddlers is exploring new things. Toddler get to do independent art. We give the children the supplies and the child dose what they wish with the supplies. We show and demonstrate independence such as cleaning the room themselves, washing their own hands, and picking up their messes. We work with the children on potty training when the child and parents are ready. When the child goes to the bathroom on the big boy and girl potty the staff makes the children feel proud. If the weather is appropriate the children will go outside every day. The children get to engage in running, jumping, riding bikes, and playing with balls. In the summer we have water days where the children get to run through the sprinkler and play in a water table outside. Preschoolers Preschoolers 3 years to 4 years old. I develop lesson plans every week on topics the children will really learn and enjoy from. Some activities the children will experience daily are literature, language, dramatic play, math, science, music, creative art, large and small motor development. They will experience these activities through group experience and free choice. We provide many materials and toys for the child to explore and express themselves. We encourage children to express themselves and interact with other children. We encourage the children to be independent such as serving their own food, washing their hands, changing their own clothes, and putting on their own outside gear. If the children do need help the teachers will gladly be of assistance. The children get to go outside every day when the weather is nice. They get to experience jumping, running, digging, riding toys, and exploring nature. In the summer we have water days where the children get to run through the sprinkler and play in a water table outside. School ages School ages before and after school ages 5 to 12 years. School agers come before school and after school. The bus will come to the house to take the children and drop them back off. During the school year the children will get served breakfast and a snack after school. After school the children will be able to sit down and eat the snack and go play for a little while to wind down. I hope to hear from you soon!
