Up for sale is a 1997 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor package.  This car is titled as "Crown Vic Police".  It has an electronic 0-140 MPH speedometer. It was originally a law enforcement vehicle and then retired as a taxi cab. This particular model was not sold to the general public, and would only become available to the public once they were decommissioned and no longer in service in law enforcement and fleet duty. The cars were in great demand by taxi companies, those who want a safe and solid car, and those who need a car with a bench seat which can take three passengers in the back. The Crown Victoria Police Interceptor came equipped with many heavy duty parts such as a revised transmission, and a 187 kW (254 PS; 251 hp) engine.  PLEASE CALL BRIAN AT 847-785-9044

This car has 434,000 miles on it, but with it's history, it probably has had the BEST of scheduled maintenance.  Police cars and taxi cab services are known for having very rigorous and thorough maintenance schedules.  You very, very rarely, if ever see a disabled police car or taxi cab.  This car starts right up and runs great!  The transmission shifts well and feels mechanically sound.  The tires are nearly new and still have the tiny rubber "fingers" on them.  They are nearly new (probably a couple of thousand miles on them)!  A FULL-SIZE SPARE with like-new tread is also stored in the trunk.  It was originally painted a dark metallic-blue.  It is now painted a solid white with light blue taxi service accenting (on the sides and hood). The door jambs and door edges are still the original dark metallic-blue.

The only mentionables are that the body has some surface rust spots in and around the wheel wells.  The only spot that is rusted through is an area about 8" x 6" behind the driver's side front wheel low on the rocker panel.  Overall, the body is in very good condition The passenger-side tail light is working, but the lens is broken and has a small area that is patched with tape.  One hub cap is missing.  The cloth driver seat has some wear with a rip down one side, but the other front seat and the back seat are not ripped, but have a few stains.  Nothing a nice set of seat covers wouldn't fix. As with all Crown Vics of this age, two of the door cards are somewhat loose. There are two antennae holes in the trunk lid that have been sealed with a bolt and compression rubber washer. The original factory radio has been replaced by an unbranded AM/FM radio with a cassette player.  It works and sounds great!  PLEASE CALL BRIAN AT 847-785-9044
