Description
Respond to this AdRefurbished two dog Antique Cast Brass Porthole. Based on the quality, materials used, and machine work (not metric), it was most likely built in the U.S. during the early 1900’s. The main housing measures 13"x 3” with a 1¼" protrusion (lip) and has two swivel dog assemblies attached including the original tie-down nuts and washers. The 8" hinged door has a 7" tinted glass insert which is ½" thick and in very good condition. Also included is a stainless steel screen retaining ring mounted inside of the main housing. The original rubber seal is in place but shows moderate deterioration. This eight pound nautical artifact a great example of superior U.S. craftsmanship.
