Eight-day key wind brass Ship’s Clock. Based on the design, materials, and quality, the case was likely built in the mid 1900s. Also, the back of the case is stamped “MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY”, which indicates is was made prior to the 1990 German reunification. The brass case measures 6” wide, 2¾” deep, and has a hinged door holding a 4” beveled glass window. It has a German “time only” movement, with a 4” silvered face (roman numerals) which is signed: “talamex” “MADE IN GERMANY”. Also included is the original brass #8 key signed “MADE IN WEST GERMANY” & “PM” (circled). The brass case is in very nice condition but the face has some minor key scratches around the winding hole. The clock keeps good time but there is no assurance it will after being shipped. Additional Nautical Items Available - Please Call Cliff @ 760-942-2025 For More Information.
