The Site Editor writes copy for the NORDSTROM.com website as well as for marketing efforts related to NORDSTROM.com to include e-mail, electronic ads and banners and customer service messaging. This position works closely with the design, usability and producer groups to develop effective and compelling creative that reflects the Nordstrom brand. Ability to work effectively with a diverse groups and disciplines. An understanding of Web writing, strong organizational skills, and a genuine passion for fashion are absolute musts. Reports to Copy Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write copy for Home and Landing Pages
Bachelor of Arts in English or related area of expertise
Minimum 5 years of writing experience and/or project management experience
Complete Work Orders for new copy, copy changes throughout site
Concept and write copy for marketing e-mail, ads and banners
Stay abreast of current fashion trends and Nordstrom, Inc. creative developments
Master and implement the Nordstrom brand voice
Manage own workload and deadlines within the Copy team

QUALIFICATIONS:

A passion for fashion and familiarity with the designer/luxury market
A genuine and strong interest in digital marketing and the online space
Portfolio of published work required
Strong organizational skills, self-starter, and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
Strong command of the English language (including spelling, grammar, punctuation)
Basic Internet and e-mail literacy, demonstrated Microsoft Excel proficiency required
Personal initiative, flexibility, intellectual curiosity and a sense of humor are all musts
FileMaker Pro experience a plus
Advanced computer skills a plus, including familiarity on both MAC and PC platforms a benefit
Retail, catalog, or search engine related experience a plus
