Very Loving Dog Rescued - Needs Home ASAP |

We had this sweet dog wonder into our yard last week. The vet said that he is about 2-3 years old, but he acts like a puppy in many ways. He has been very sweet and loving to us and is always open to getting a big hug. He has not shown any aggression toward us or our other two dogs (Pekingese), and has also been around children ages 1, 3, and 13, and has done very well with them. Although he is not agressive toward other animals, if they are small he wants to play, and because his is large, the playfullness doesn't tend to work well with small dogs or cats. I'm sure you can tell by the picture that he does have some pit bull in him, but as mentioned has not shown any signs of aggression. We think he is mixed with Lab. He is very playful and loves toys and lots of attention. He is also house trained, and is not destructive indoors in any way. Although he is extremely sweet, our small dogs don't get along well with larger dogs, so we cannot keep him. We took him to the vet and had him fully updated on all of his shots. While at the vet, we found out that he is heartworm positive. Although this can be costly, we have found an organization that is willing to cover the cost of his treatment in exchange for a small adoption fee. This adoption fee would include him getting neutered, all of his shots, and his treatment for heartworm. Please let me know if you would be interested in meeting him, or if you know of anyone that might want to take him. Any volunteers for fostering him would be greatly appreciated as well.
