Photography Submissions Needed for Local Feminist ZINE |

My friend and I have a ZINE called "NashvilleFemme" addressing Feminist issues. We are looking for submissions. ZINEs are handmade magazines featuring local art, rants, and prose. We would like our ZINE to reflect all types of artistic expression from local Nashville men and women. Photography has traditionally been a huge part of ZINE culture and we feel Nashville has needed a ZINE like NashvilleFemme for a long time. Your photography submission will be featured for free and people who submit anything to NashvilleFemme will be attributed to the contribution for the ZINE (you can also remain anonymous). We are also open to including contact information with your contribution. This is a great way to get exposure on the Nashville art scene! You will be mailed a copy of the ZINE that has your art in it as soon as it is printed. If this interests you, please contact us via e-mail and include your submission. We are open to all types of art submissions. Due to space and time constraints, submissions can be no longer then 350 words. Some submission ideas (relating to Feminism) that we are also looking for are: -Art (drawings, poetry, paintings) -Photos of yourself for our "This is what a Feminist looks like" section -Rants/stories about personal experiences and/or addressing feminist topics -Ideas and suggestions for people to be included in our "Feminist of the month" and "Anti-Feminist of the month" sections -Women's safety issues -Your definition of feminism and what the word "feminism" means to you -Information about women's Art shows, shows for your band (must have at least one female member and/or music relates to feminist issues) -Women's Sexual health issues (STDs and contraception information) PLEASE REPLY TO: Nashvillefemme@gmail.com
