Staying young for seniors
One hour totally customized exercises for seniors age 50 and over. The workout focuses on body strengthening, flexibility and balance.
30 minutes body strengthening. Begins with a body part targeted warm-up. Followed by, strengthening that anyone can do. Moves like upper body muscle toning using dumb bells and resistance band such as bicep and triceps curls. The lower body strengthening and toning features, simple lunges, knee lifts, gluts lifts and some squats
30 minutes - Yoga segments, classic yoga poses like warrior, sun salutation, cat stretch, bridge, balance and deep gentle fluid stretches for flexibility.
End with breathing exercise, and total body relaxation that can put you to sleep.
This exercise is one hour of fun and feeling great!!!! Do not wait anymore to be healthy happy and young.
Requirements: yoga mat, dumbbells your choice of weights and towel
Location: west university senior center
Date : every Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time : 2:00pm - 3:00pm
Fees: : members of west university - $30.00 /month (twice a week)
Non-members - $30.50/month (twice a week)
