Patients must be aware and willing to accept that there will be mild swelling and bruising for 2 to 3 days after the procedure however this starts to subside on the 4th day onwards. Thus patient's eyes are socially presentable by the 7th to 10th day after the surgery since much of the swelling had subsided. And sutures are removed on the 4th to 5th day after the surgery. Any patient planning to have this procedure need to allot 8 to 10 days for the initial consultation, surgery, follow up, suture removal and early recuperation. After this patient is safe to travel since wounds are dry and healed.
