Reclaimed Teak Bench - Hand Carved

This bench was hand-constructed using reclaimed teak wood. The legs and armrests were once ‘luku’ which is the plow dragged behind and ox when preparing the paddy for planting rice seedlings. Wonderfully unique and sturdy for the coming centuries.

All of our woods are sustain-ably grown and harvested from plantations on Bali and Java, Indonesia. Chantiques has a small workshop on Java and our furniture is all hand finished in that facility. We practice fair trade and provide benefits and assistance to the community in Java. We do custom special orders too right in our workshop for surprisingly reasonable prices.
