Director of Institutional Grants and Proposal Development --Medical Assistance Programs (MAP) International -- Atlanta, GA
MAP International (www.map.org), a non profit organization seeks a Director of Institutional Grants to direct its global grant development initiatives. Grant focus is on multi-year programs for disease specific, community health and medical programs. Position responsibilities includes working with foundations, corporations and government agencies to build funding support for MAP programs in international relief and development. Prospecting and grant writing are key aspects of this position. Requirements are: Bachelor Degree in English, Economics, Journalism, International Development or similar field. Masters Degree or additional educational experience is desirable.
Experience in grants funding is a prerequisite. Field experience in international relief and development activities is desirable as is proficiency in French and/or Spanish. Must have demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams and to work with people from various cultures, backgrounds and skill-levels. Experience with grant and reporting systems and processes a plus.
