Our client, a midsized Real Estate Investment and Management firm that specializes in high end office and retail properties is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their group. This individual will be a part of a small team and will have a primary focus on fixed asset accounting which includes: reconciliations and analysis relating to acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, gain or loss, and other accounting duties. This individual will also help out with the review and analysis of financial information from the company’s general ledger, fixed asset system and financial reporting systems, assuring integrity of the underlying accounting data and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In addition, preparation and/or review of month-end journal entries, reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries will be a part of weekly routine. Finally, the Staff Accountant, will be performing account analysis and reconciliation. Experience: - 2+ years of accounting experience - Degree in Accounting - Fixed Assets Experience.
