Fall and winter are the ideal time to plant citrus trees. Here is why. Citrus trees experience some growth in the cooler weather. Not much is going to happen above ground, however the root system will grow through the winter months because the sun warms the ground under the tree. If you plant a citrus tree now, the root system will grow and get established and anchor the tree in the next 5 of 6 months. When the warmer weather of Spring arrives, the tree will be in great shape for Springtime growth. A citrus tree planted now will be in much better shape next year than a citrus tree planted next Spring. I have trees available now and my Winter shipment of trees will arrive in two weeks. Call for info and availability. 504-931-9768 Ray
