Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Institutional Diversity with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity. The Title IX Officer and EO Specialist is responsible for managing and implementing the University's Title IX compliance efforts and cultivating and strengthening a culture that promotes a safe and respectful educational and working environment. In addition, the Title IX Officer and EO Specialist conducts investigations, as needed, in response to employee complaints pertaining to Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, ADA and ADAAA. This position will serve as the Title IX Coordinator. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Higher Education Administration or other relevant discipline and 7 years progressively responsible experience in student conduct, equal opportunity/affirmative action or Human Resources discrimination and harassment investigation or other similar investigation experience. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state equal opportunity and non-discrimination laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information/communication. Strong presentation and facilitation skills with an emphasis on education and training for a variety of constituencies. Effective project management, organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to use discretion and good judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work under multiple deadlines. Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with diverse constituencies. Must have a sense of urgency in approaching responsibilities. Demonstrated experience using web-based and Windows based software including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
