Job Summary:
* Oversees the planning and implementation of approved projects.
* Ensures projects meet budget, schedule and scope requirements.

Essential Duties:

General

*
Provides leadership to projects in the following areas:
*
Project governance and planning
*
Project activities, schedule and responsibilities
*
Communication Management
*
Quality Management
*
Risk and Issue Management
*
Resource Management
*
Scope Management
*
Vendor/Contract Management – ordering vendor products/services as needed
*
Budget Planning and Management. Includes the understanding and application of the following disciplines:
* Forecasting and financial modeling
* Budget tracking and management- Actuals, Estimate to Completion, Estimate at Completion
* Communicating and reporting of budget performance in a matrixed environment- IT and business (national and local/regional leadership)Benefit Management
* People Change Management
*
Enforces project management standard practices.
*
Assembles reports on project status, including progress and resource deployment.
*
Monitors all project linkages, dependencies, and enablers.
*
Identifies, monitors, and tracks risk.
*
Monitors resource utilization.
*
Monitors and coordinates all project related communications.
*
Travels as required to manage phases of projects.
*
Ensures the quality and success of the project deliverables and is accountable for managing risks and issues that come up.
*
Focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget and within planned scope.
*
Provides feedback on project learnings and best practices from projects
*
Develops education material on key learnings, best practice ideas and project audit feedback and teaches other PM’s as part of continuous improvement process.
*
Leads post-project audits with EPMO (Enterprise Program Management Office) staff and management.
*
Develops deep skills in specific project management functions and for key types of projects (e.g., Hospital Information Systems, Infrastructure, Interface) - to be determined by EPMO management.
*
Provide mentoring to PM I’s and PM II’s.




Project Profile



*
This role leads complex projects and minor programs.
*
Works autonomously and provides strong leadership to their project teams.
*
Purchases approved vendor IT products and services as required by projects up to financial limits.
* Communicates with PM Leads, EPMO management and stakeholders regarding project status.
* Coordinates activities across CTO and Application functions as needed for projects
* Coordinates project purchasing requirements with Client and Vendor management group and associated technical specialists in ITS as needed
* Works with PM leads to harvest project leading practices and key learnings to improve performance of future projects
* Coordinates with PM leads on developing continuous improvement training for all PM’s

















Education:

*
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Experience:
* 7 years of total IT/project management experience preferably in a healthcare clinical environment.
* Experience, preferred but not required, with implementing and supporting home healthcare implementations, involving any or all of the following products/services:
* Home Care
* Hospice
* Home Infusion
* Home Medical Equipment
* Medical Transportation
* Includes experience working with vendors in supporting home health care solutions.
* May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience with implementing project management best practices and
frameworks such as PMI or CMM is required.
* Must possess PMP certification (or plan to obtain this certification within 6 months of starting)
* Managed implementations of multiple projects concurrently.
* Experience in all of the project management disciplines described in the Responsibilities – General section of this profile is required.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Project is required.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Experience leading project teams is required.
