Volume Seattle is seeking a creative, detail oriented and motivated individual as Human Resources Intern (Part Time) to join our growing team. The human resources intern is responsible for recruitment, screening, interviewing, and placing workers. They also may handle human resources work in a variety of other areas, such as employee relations, heading up periodic employee evaluation, developing employee retention programs and professional development training programs.
Arranging for advertising or posting of job vacancies, and notify eligible workers of position availability
Processing and review employment applications in order to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants
Identifying and implementing potential improvements related to the recruiting process
Informing job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment
Processing, verifying, and maintaining proper documentation related to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Flexible and available to interact with contacts of all levels
Strong attention to detail
Skilled in database management and record keeping
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
