Primary Duties:
Directs and oversee the implementation of the Upward Bound program, all goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. The project director assist in implementing the staff, service providers consultants needed to provide services associated with executing the Upward Bound program. Administers project budget, assigns, train and direct staff, and acts as a liaison for university, local agencies, target school staff, and community members. Completes administrative documents as needed.

Duties or responsibilities:
Oversees, directs, and implement all grant activities
Recruits, hire, train staff
Supervise and empower staff members

Meet with students and patents as needed
Approves written reports on students data and objectives
Ensures coordination for programs/services among community partners and intervenes if needed
Gives guidance to the Curriculum Coordinator in designed the appropriate program curriculum WDCR program.
Schedules yearly professional development workshop for staff
Schedule the participant recruitment with high school principals and staff
Participates in the planning of the special events and closing ceremonies
Builds relationships with community organizations, school administration, parents, and students
Reports evaluation and accomplishments to the

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required in Education or Social Work, Guidance Counseling, Public Administration or related field
Five years experience in working with low-income students, first generation college students
Knowledge of academic and social needs of low-income students
Knowledge of college admission application procedures
Knowledge of Financial aid procedures
2+ years of teaching experience
3 years of budgetary experience
Preference granted to applicant who has overcome similar circumstances of those in target population.
Experience with a prior TRIO/ federal grant is preferred
