Account Representative-Billing Department

The University of Nevada School of Medicine Multi Specialty Group Practice South, Inc. is currently accepting applications for Account Representative in the Billing department. Main responsibilities for this position is to coordinate all insurance billing, receives and verifies payments and post amounts to patient's accounts, responsible for recording information about status of collection efforts, confers with patients, Medicaid, Medicare or insurance companies by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payments and to obtain settlement of claim and other duties as assigned.

High school graduate or equivalent; 6 months experience in billing or related field. A good command of English both verbally and written is required. Must have accurate typing skills at a minimum of 40 wpm, knowledge of 10-key and other office machines, ability to problem solve, good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, knowledge of various insurance plans and various billing softwares.
