Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this position has twenty four (24) hour responsibility and accountability for the safe and efficient operations of all aspects of the Perioperative Services including the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Ambulatory and endoscopy departments. This position includes responsibility for space planning; hiring, supervising and development of all levels of staff including assuring competence. Responsible for development and adherence to departmental standards and other professional organizations' as guidance for evidence based practice. Is responsible for proposing and adhering to budgetary process.

Job Requirements:
** Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Masters' degree in Nursing preferred.
** Current California Registered Nurse License required.
** Three years experience in supervisory position required.
** Current BLS (CPR) certificate required.
** CNOR certificate required.
** Working knowledge of room process and turn around improvement processes.
** Knowledge of current Operating Room procedures and interventions.
** Good understanding and application of the nursing process.
** Demonstrated ability to interact with vendors, physicians and staff with effective communication skills.
** Demonstrated ability to provide direction and leadership in a participatory manner while assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ability to increase volume that enhances a return on investment.
** ACLS required within 90 days of start.
