Tutors Needed in Amarillo, TX; $15.50-30.00/Hr + Performance Bonus
Tutors (especially bilingual in English & Spanish or English & Vietnamese or English & Chinese) needed to tutor students grade 9-12 in English Language Arts and/or Math and/or Science. Candidates MUST have at least a Bachelor's degree, and be able to travel to the student's home or local library to tutor.
Candidates should be reliable, enjoy working with children, have strong communication skills, are committed to educating and motivating young students. Candidates should also have consistent access to the internet, be able to follow directions, and be very organized with necessary paperwork. Must be willing to travel. Reliable transportation is required.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience helpful, but not required. BILINGUAL (English & Spanish or English & Vietnamese or English & Chinese) IS A BIG PLUS, but not required. Candidates with Special Education experience also highly desired. Fingerprint, background checks, and TB test are required. Candidate should be able to commit for at least 6 months. Current school teachers or substitute teachers are welcome to apply.
Tutors can choose their own flexible tutoring schedules, choose the geographical area(s) of tutoring (tutoring sessions usually take place near tutor's home, work, or school!), and work with the same students on a weekly basis. Tutoring sessions are usually available after school on weekdays, and anytime on weekends. Each session is 1-2 hours, from 5 to 40 hours a week available.
$15.50-30.00/Hr starting, tutoring one-on-one or small groups (2:1 or 3:1), depending on qualifications. Additional bonus also available for tutors who meet performance target.
