Distinctive Care Services (DCS) is a reputable health care provider. Our caring team of professionals provides a number of services including Palliative, Respite, Relief, Personal and Companionship Care.

We currently have opportunities for Personal Support Workers, Child and Youth Workers and Social Service Workers to join our team as Supporters.  As a key member of our team, you will provide quality care that is in accordance with care plans, policies and procedures.  With exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to follow expectations, you will be able to assist clients with a variety of personal support tasks. In addition, you will be required to make a commitment to ensure that the physical and emotional needs of our clients are met.

Qualified candidates will be required to have a designation (ie. PSW, CYW, SSW) obtained from a known post-secondary institution and have no less than two years of relative experience.  Depending on the plan of care, supporters may be responsible to assist clients with tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, incontinence care, lifts and transfers and in some cases some light housekeeping.  Qualified candidates must also present a current Vulnerable Persons Police Check for screening purposes prior to joining our team.

DCS will offer competitive rates. Our supporters will be required to engage in professional trainings and have qualifications like Emergency First Aid, CPR, CPI, UMAB or TCI depending on the clientele they serve.
