Participants wanted for Orienteering Study
Pacific Science & Engineering Group has been conducting a 10-year (award-winning) research project into the design of next generation terrain displays, sponsored by the Office of Naval Research in the Department of Defense. This is an invitation to participate in that project.
In April, May, and June, we will be performing a study with visual displays that entails routing through realistic terrain on a computer using various advanced display aids. The study is concerned with determining the role of terrain expertise on performance with the display aids and on intuitions about their relative utility. Therefore, we greatly desire participants with orienteering experience.
