Terma North America (TNA), the US subsidiary of Denmark based Terma A/S, is searching for a highly qualified Radar System Technician that will provide a range of support services for our Radar Systems, including installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, and logistics support.
Terma A/S is a leading supplier of radar systems world-wide and is currently executing a US Business Expansion Initiative (USBEI) through TNA, leveraging the outstanding Terma reputation and our strong relationship with the US DoD, Homeland Security and large Prime Contractors.
The successful candidate will be an experienced radar technician with at least five years experience in maintaining radar systems. Specific experience with X-Band radars for Vessel Traffic Service, Naval Surveillance and/or Airport Surface Movement applications is a plus. Also desirable is experience in logistics support of radar systems such as providing spare parts, upgrades and technical/call center support.
He/she will work closely with the TNA Radar Systems team here in the US, as well as the Radar Business Area engineering and production team in Denmark. Therefore, he/she must possess the interest, aptitude and communication skills to work in a cross cultural environment while developing excellent working relationships both within the Terma team and with our external customers. Recent experience with the US Coast Guard/US Navy and Department of Homeland Security would also be considered a plus.
This position will work from the TNA offices in Arlington (Crystal City), Virginia, and will require frequent travel to customer sites in the US and throughout the Americas, as well as travel to Denmark for training on the specific Terma radar systems. A current DoD security clearance at the SECRET level, or the ability to obtain such is also a requirement.
