She is self taught artist and life long resident of the foothills of North Carolina. Her artwork is very realistic. Some folks even say they feel like they could walk right into each scene. The paintings have done span a wide variety of subject matter, from still life to to seascapes and are available as original paintings, limited edition prints and sculptures. There is something for all your decorating and collecting needs. Since her childhood, she has enjoyed the many aspects of the gift of creativity that I was born with. As a young girl, she can remember asking for plain drawing paper instead of coloring books. Even at that age, she wanted to create my own visual world. Her first noted honor came for a picture she did at the age of eleven. The scene depicted a mare and her foal in a stable. After winning honors here in the USA, this piece was part of a European tour called "Young American Art" and now resides in the department of archives in Raleigh, NC. Most of her paintings were done just using the primary colors. PATRICIA HOBSON Original acrylic signed painting by Patricia Hobson, well-known artist from North Carolina.
