The best pet care while you are away. Going to a kennel can be stressful, scary and ultimately harmful to your pet. Air born viruses and employees spread too thin can all be avoided by using an in home pet sitting service.
At Kelly's K-9 Kare we keep your pet safe and happy. By following the same routine you do we can cut down on your pet's stress. Animals are creatures of habit and like to eat, sleep, exercise and eliminate on a schedule. Disrupting this schedule can cause problems for your pet.
I have been in the pet industry for many years and it has become a passion of mine. I decided this year, that it was time to follow my dream! January 1st was the kick off of Kelly's K-9 Kare. I have worked in a vet office, multiple boarding facilities, and volunteer for a local shelter. I have experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes & temperament. In the past, I have worked with pets with high anxiety causing them to become aggressive, as well as, those who have so little confidence they cower every time someone comes near them. I have learned to work through these issues with pets and get them to trust me. Sometimes, it's a matter of minutes, other times it takes 30 minutes to an hour. No matter what I am always patient. This is not to say I only have experience with "troubled" pets. Many of my clients are well adjusted and happy, I simply have experience with those that aren't. Once everything is balanced I like taking dogs for long walks. This aids in the dog trusting me because we are doing something positive together & the dog has distractions. With cats, I usually pick something quiet to do, like read a book, and sit out in the open so they have an "escape route" but can still come out and investigate. I have administered most medications, including insulin. Also, I have experience with pets coming out of surgery or that have an injury. I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pet.
