JOB DESCRIPTION
Hiring company is a provider of Emergency Department Software Solutions and is located in Addison, TX. They are seeking Registered Nurses with in depth knowledge of the hospital Emergency Department to work as a Nursing Informatics Analyst.
As part of the Marketing & Product Management team, your Clinical skills will be utilized to insure detailed application configurations are maintained at Customer sites and product knowledge is disseminated to all Associates. This will include; reviewing databases prior to implementation, updating charge capture in production, serving as first line resource for clinical Customer support issues and Customer Tool Kit Training.
As an integral part of the MEDHOST team, you must reside in or around the Dallas area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintaining a very detailed understanding of product content, functionality & interaction
2. Review all databases coming out of QA for appropriate configuration
3. Making some configuration changes prior to implementation
4. Coordinating & deploying application changes necessary to support charge capture at Customer sites
5. Establish baseline & updates on current Customer charge capture methodologies and results
6. Serve as first line resource for clinical Customer issues with appropriate resolution instructions, escalation to Clinical Consultant or escalation to Development Team.
7. Coordination w/ Clinical Consultant to understand impact of application configurations to meet Customer goals and expectations.
8. Maintain exceptional product knowledge and coordinate program to update all Associates on new features and existing functionality.
a. Customer Service – development centric education
b. Consultant/Sales – process centric education.
9. Maintain detailed documentation of all processes, procedures and analytical findings
10. Conduct Customer Tool Kit Training Classes (including database prep, Customer communication and prep, instruction and follow up)
11. Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Professional and Technical Requirements
• Candidates must have 3-5 years of Emergency nursing experience
• A very acute attention to detail and meticulous analytical skills
• Previous training or presentation experience
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Above average PC literacy skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet navigation
• High level of initiative, self-direction, and accountability for actions required
• Preferably previous experience with application development
• Preferably previous experience with database management
• Works well within the team structure
Educational Requirements
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
PHYSICAL DEMANDS_________________________________________________________
• Generally sedentary with some bending, stooping, lifting and reaching required
• 25% travel required
