JOB DESCRIPTION
Hiring company is a provider of Emergency Department Software Solutions located in Addison, TX and is seeking Registered Nurses with in depth knowledge of the hospital Emergency Department to work as a Clinical Trainer for the software application.
The desired candidate for this position has a strong ED clinical background, previous teaching experience, good organization skills and the ability to create a positive, fun learning environment dynamically responsive to the skill level of those being instructed. The trainer will function to educate hospital staff in preparation for implementation of new or upgraded EDMS software. Training is done on-site using the “Train the trainer” methodology where the trainer instructs hospital “Super Users” to effectively train the remaining ED staff. Training support is also provided during the go-live phase of implementation. In addition to training responsibilities, the trainer would be involved in clinical review of databases and other activities requiring clinical expertise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. On-site training of clients on EDMS product suite
2. Coordination of Training Program with ED management staff
3. Design and update Training Programs as new features are developed
4. Work with Implementation Team to coordinate Pre-training activities
5. Clinical shadowing of new users during go-lives
6. Work with client team to set up nursing templates for nursing documentation
7. Conduct Site Survey with technical staff
8. Internal training of associates (e.g., HIPAA awareness training)
9. New staff orientations
10. Develop educational tools and materials
11. Clinical oversight as needed
12. 75% travel required
REQUIREMENTS
Professional Requirements
• Previous experience in training desirable
• High level of enthusiasm and professionalism to effectively educate and motivate a wide diversity of clientele
• Exceptional customer service, communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal relationship skills required for interaction with contacts
• High level of initiative, self-direction, and accountability for actions required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel)
• Strong understanding of the Internet and ability to use Internet software
• Work well within the team structure
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
• Minimum of three to five years of clinical experience in area of expertise desirable
• Previous training or presentation experience
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• High level of initiative, self-direction, and accountability for actions required
Educational Requirements
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine
