Location: Addison, TX
Contract-To-Hire (Start out as contract for 3 to 4 months)
Compensation: Competitive

JOB DESCRIPTION
A company who is a provider of Emergency Department software solutions located in Addison, TX is seeking a Software Developer – Level II with the primary responsibility of software development coding on the Microsoft Windows platform. This person will be working with a team of skilled Developers, Clinical Analysts, Database Administrators, and SQA Engineers. They will also collaborate with the Support and Sales teams, as necessary. The hours are flexible and reflect deadlines.
As an integral part of this companies team, you must reside in or around the Dallas area, or willing to relocate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Software development, driven by clinical requirements and analysis
2. Software defect resolution
3. Documentation and communication of project details
4. Collaboration and Customer problem resolution, in conjunction with the Software Quality Assurance and Customer Solutions Group

Professional Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to develop, monitor, and track the progress of an action plan
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, Customers, and the general public
• Healthcare technology experience is preferred
• Familiarity with HL7 is preferred
Technical Requirements
• Four years of software development experience
• Extensive knowledge of MEDHOST Software Development processes and policies
• Extensive technical knowledge of the MEDHOST system
• Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycles
• Experience with Software Development tools
• Experience with all Windows platforms
• Strong skills with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Applicable software development language skill, in either Visual C++ / MFC / STL / SDK or in Visual C# / .NET 3.X / WCF / WPF
• Skills with XML, HTML/DHTML and XSL/XSLT
• Object-oriented design skills
Educational Requirements
• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree required or 4 years equivalent experience in a related field
• Industry standard technical certification preferred
• Project management experience preferred
