The Role may consist of (but not be limited to):
**Greets customers and takes food order; provides information about menus; looks for opportunity to "up-sell" products.
**Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, and follows all HMS Host customer service and cash handling policies and procedures
**Cleans and stocks work area and customer area
**Assemble, and present completed treat orders, including stocking, cleaning and maintaining all customer areas in a clean, safe, pleasant manner and to all restaurant safety and health code standards.
**Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operate equipment with peripheral electronic data processing. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
**Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed
**Receives inventory, moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies; maintain a solid knowledge of product and services available in unit
**Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products
**Cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment

Customer service, sales, and/or food preparation experience helpful!
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must live within 20 minutes of Dairy Queen (for on-call purposes)
Must have good attendance
Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen
Must be able to interact with customers in an outgoing and upbeat manner at all times
Must be able to perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.
Must be available to work on-call, if necessary.
Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service skills including strong verbal communication skills, exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness. Capability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to move and respond quickly to various requests and commands, read order monitors, and communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers.
