POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Operations Coach is responsible for the motivation, training, and leadership of a distribution center work team. The Operations Coach assists in developing and executes daily operational plans to meet and exceed customer service requirements, while maximizing the quality, safety, and productivity of their designated area.DEMONSTRATED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:1. Works closely with Location Management to ensure prompt efficient and accurate handling of merchandise2. Monitors the productivity and accuracy of team members3. Ensures all team members have specific responsibilities and there is an equitable distribution of workload4. Coaches, counsels and trains team members to ensure competence, as well as, prepare them for future opportunities5. Develops and implements team goals6. Ensures all safety rules and procedures are followed7. Ensures assigned equipment and work areas are neat, clean and well organized8. Ensures all Lowe s policies and procedures are implemented and followed.9. Ensures proper control of payroll and other assigned expenses.10. Performs other duties as directed by Location ManagementMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:1. Excellent communication skills 2. Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management staff3. Excellent understanding of overall work flow of current departments 4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail and strong initiative5. Consistent in performance of current job duties6. Meets current department s accuracy and productivity standards7. Demonstrates a knowledge and concern for safety issues8. Practices excellent housekeeping throughout facility9. Excellent attendance10. Previous supervisory experience.
