We chose this Alfa Ideal for luxury getaways in the summer and for full time living in the winter. But then we built a cottage by a small Wisconsin lake on old family land. We have made the decision to focus on our new cottage, but it means letting our ‘baby’ go. We’re looking for someone who will treat it well.
This 1999 model has been lovingly cared for by both owners. We had a full system check in 2005 and added new tires, new seals around its three slides, a new battery charging system, and a new water pump. Everything looks beautiful and works well, as you would expect of a like-new rig. Relax in leather recliners and enjoy CD’s, DVD’s, VHS tapes or television from the entertainment center. There are three TV’s from 13” in the kitchen, 14” in the bedroom and a 27” in the living room.
We chose the Alfa because of its beauty, comfort, durability and value. Alfa is known for stronger, lighter and roomier units. There is luxurious space for relaxing or entertaining. We feel Alfa is a leader in engineering, construction, tow weight and style. It pulls behind our 2001 diesel Ford Lariat as if it were a pop-up camper, but it’s easier to hitch up than a pop-up. We will consider selling this dually truck with the unit as a package. It has leather seats, four wheel drive, CD and cassette player, and most of the other options that were available. Whatever you choose to pull with, be sure to get a dually for a vacation/retirement home of this size.
The three slides open up space in the living room, the kitchen and the bedroom. The kitchen has beautiful oak cabinetry with a work island for the double sink, making it feel and work like a large kitchen in a good sized home. Included are the microwave, stove and oven with extractor hood, refrigerator/freezer, toaster and coffee maker. You can take this vacation home anywhere and set up the full hook-up system for full time living. Or, if you like the wilderness, use its battery, propane tanks and huge holding tanks for living with no hook-ups in the middle of nature. Just roll out the large awning, set out the lounge camping chairs and enjoy the scenery.
When connected at an RV park, you can enjoy the convenience of city water and sewer, fully ducted heat and air conditioning and cable TV. There is a TV antenna with a booster that works very well. The feeling of space is created by the three slides and from high ceilings in both the bedroom and living areas. You can invite company to stay overnight and still have full privacy with sliding wood doors to close off the master bedroom and still give everyone private access to the toilet. The queen island bed allows for comfortable moving about when necessary at night. The oversized glass enclosed shower has its own skylight, and the toilet is in a separate room with a skylight/fan.
There’s comfortable seating for four at meals, a convenient computer desk with its own phone jack (there’s another phone jack in the bedroom), a sleeper sofa and two leather recliners. Once you put the power jacks down in the front and the scissor jacks down in back, your home has the stability similar to being on a foundation. The unit is insulated for cold weather, has storm windows for all windows, and has heated holding tanks. There’s a 15,000 BTU gas furnace that keeps you warm in all weather and a double air conditioning system that will beat even the hottest weather.
There’s plenty of storage space in its many closets, over and under cabinets and in the space usually called “the basement”. The bedroom has a huge closet across the front of the RV with full mirrors on the doors. There are large windows that bring the outdoors in, but each has its own set of blinds for privacy. Please call for more information.
