**Account Consultant**

This account consultant position will focus specifically on the development of new business opportunities within the Ontario Sales Region and operate out of the Bell Aliant territory. It is expected that the account consultant will have extensive sales experience in and out of the telecommunications field and have proven networking connections to a multitude of businesses and associated organizations specifically within the Ontario region. Both education of solution offerings and relationship development will be the prime focus of this role while building Bell Aliant revenues in new and existing markets.Proven track record of sales in the HUNTER role is required

**Responsibilities:**

* Accountable for the development of integrated and profitable solution-based sales
* Assisting the sales teams to qualify complex opportunities
* Prospect for comprehensive suite of Bell Aliant telecommunication solutions, including network access services, equipment direct sales, professional services, information and communication technology and industry solutions.
* Actively perusing and selling into the existing customer base EWP & End Of Life Products
* Presents complex technical IT solutions to a non-technical audience in a face to face conversation.
* Manages the customer relationship/accounts for his/her client base including decisions and activities with the virtual team
* Offers full product line of IT/IP and legacy solutions to clients
* Develops and implements account management strategies
* Delivers and monitors overall satisfaction of clients in an assigned geographic territory
* Leads and coordinates the efforts of internal and external partners
* Respond to complex RFP’s, writes proposals; develops, negotiates, and presents contracts
* Ensures administrative aspects of client accounts such as implementation, billing and maintenance
* Promote "Service as a product" ( ex: shorter installation or response time at a cost, spare depot)
* Actively participate in Community Affairs within the Territory
* Will actively be working in the Bell Aliant Central Office
* Understand the geographic territory and daily travel within the territory

**Skill/Experience/Requirements:**

* Capacity to engage customers over the phone and to develop long term business relationships based on credibility and trust
* Business Acumen, understanding of business and financial processes
* Mastering IS/IT concepts
* Comprehensive understanding and capacity to integrate current and emerging IT technologies, network access services, professional services, wireless & IP products,
* Data services and applications, call centers, ERP, security, hosting and storage solution, as well as industry specific solutions
* Will have to complete the Nortel, Cisco, Mitel and Avaya sales certification – expertise with the products and business solutions of these manufacturers is an important asset
* Capacity to develop adaptive account strategies and to implement with success
* Excellent oral communication skills and capacity to adapt to various audiences
* Excellent writing skills to produce business proposals and legal documents
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint & Visio ) UT, UT+ Sales Force, NETFORMX

**Education/Certification Requirements:**

* Bachelor degree in business or related field and 3-5 years of sales experience in IS/IT industry or telecom as an account manager OR combination of relevant college education and sales experience in IS/IT industry or telecom as an account manager will also be considered
* 10-15 years in sales and/or a customer service or project management related role

**Optional Skill Set:**

* Leadership, determination, professionalism, creativity, autonomy
* Has demonstrated results in developing and maintaining a (50 accounts +) client base
* Ability and flair in handling difficult and dissatisfied customers
* Strong desire to win and passion for results
* Financial, business and strategic acumen
* Project management skills are an asset
