A new weekly newspaper startup is seeking an Advertising Manager to both sell advertising and manage our newspaper's business accounts. This is a full time position, but we are flexible in scheduling to fill this position for the right person (stay-at-home mom, retiree, etc). We are seeking a honest, self-motivated, and dedicated person, who must be willing and able to handle multiple advertising accounts and treat every one as if they are the only account they have. Training and orientation will be provided. Experience is not required, but previous advertising or sales experience of any kind is a definite bonus. Out of state applicants are warmly welcomed, but in-state (WV) applicants will receive special consideration. Ideally, candidate would live in or around Jackson County, WV, but this is not required. We are looking for a person with these skills: -Motivation to meet with businesses to sell newspaper advertising. -Basic computer skills, such as read/reply/send emails. -Self-motivation -Detail-oriented -Willingness to learn and multitask -Enthusiastic -Ability to work unsupervised -Independent and goal-oriented If you are a people person, who likes to meet new people and isn't afraid of selling a quality product to quality businesses in a quiet, friendly community please let us know about you!
