/ This is a product development position that also requires emphasis on process development. The Product Engineer works with FM's customers, manufacturing plants, and suppliers to provide new product technology in the area of Lighting Systems. The customers for this position include the aftermarket business and our OEM/OES customers. The business situation and individual skills may dictate the method of meeting these responsibilities, but the end result will always be superior customer service and the delivery of new lighting technology. The Product Engineer is the project manager responsible for product development, driving process development, and validation of lighting products. The engineer should be capable of evaluating tradeoffs in concept designs using CAD, predictive engineering, value analysis/value engineering, testing, and simultaneous engineering with the manufacturing plants.
