The Prophet 1000 has 5.5 inches (140 mm) travel in both the front and the rear. Also, both front and rear suspension have Manitou's Stable Platform Valve adjustment. This makes for a VERY efficient bike. The Prophet is equally capable of the uphills as it is the downhills. The pivot is a machined piece of lightweight, stiff aluminum which guarantees perfect rear end alignment . This also makes for a very rigid rear end laterally. You can hammer on this bike without feeling any side-to-side play.
