1996 GMC Jimmy 4.3 Automatic 4WD -

My son will be getting his license soon and I want to get something a little smaller for his first car. This is a good running and looking vehicle. It has a brand new fuel pump./sending unit ($200) as well as a new serpintine belt and front brakes. It runs good and the motor is strong with good oil pressure and no funny noises. There are no leaks whatsoever. The transnmission is in great shape with no slipping or klunking. The 4 wheel drive works great and pulls like a freight train. Has good tires all around. Mileage is 171,000. I have owned this car for awhile and my brother owned it before me so I do know the history and it has always been dependable. It just passed NY state inspection in May.
I am asking $1500 but am negotiable. That does not mean that I will take $500 so please do not insult me with ridiculous offers. The only trades I will consider is an old Triumph or BSA motorcycle or perhaps another bike in the $1500 value range.
