Our team’s main responsibility is to ensure highest possible standards of software quality within The Worlds’ Biggest Games Development Studio. To accomplish this we provide Game Teams with engineering resources to enable black-box testing and we educate Game Team Software Engineers on best coding practices and white-box testing. The Test Automation Group works closely with internal groups to build and maintain state of the art automation system for software testing. The White-Box Testing Group is responsible for providing the first level of defense against software bugs; their work focuses on unit and integration testing of game source code.

Responsibilities:

• Extend leading edge test solutions to create new tools and scripts that will automate game testing.
  
• Integrate tools and hooks into production game code without impacting game stability.
  
• Maintain tools, hooks and technologies to support a highly reliable test environment.
  
• Create automated reports to analyze data from the testing process.
  
• Follow standard Company software engineering processes and best practices for requirements, design, implementation and testing.
  
• Provide accurate time estimation for input to project plans.
  
• Report regular status against assigned tasks and identify project risks and issues.
  
• Provide excellent customer service.

Required Skills for this Test Engineer:

• Computer Science Degree, Computer Engineering Degree, or equivalent.
  
• Software development experience (Co-op Terms included).
  
• C++ code reading and demonstrated programming skills in SQL, C# and C++.
  
• Preferred knowledge in some of the following: Python, Perl, Java, Flash Actionscript and XML.
  
• Preferred knowledge in gaming consoles.
  
• Excellent understanding of software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes and procedures.
  
• Pro-active and takes initiative with “can do” attitude.
  
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Strong ability to self-manage and prioritize work effectively under pressure.
  
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
