Nordstrom is one of the nation's leading fashion retailers. Our Information Technologies division works in partnership with other areas of the Company to develop and support the business systems used throughout Nordstrom.
Primary responsibility of the Project Lead is to provide analysis and support of multiple data warehousing and BI applications. This position requires partnership with developers, business analysts, project managers and leads from other teams, business partners and users to ensure successful delivery and implementation. You will meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple assignments simultaneously and have the ability to coordinate deliverables and dependencies with other groups. You will exercise leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of progressive experience in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, installing and maintaining software applications.
2 years effective team management, supervisory and facilitation skills
2 years business related experience (retail)
Experience with technical skills such as UNIX, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL performance tuning
Knowledge and experience of working in a formalized project management lifecycle
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountability for timely, complete and cost-effective delivery of data warehouse system maintenance and enhancement activities
Serve as front-line manager for multiple software enhancement projects and day-to-day production support tasks
Regularly interact with IT management, supervisors and leads on project status, priority setting, and resource allocations, as well as department-wide efforts
Prepare and present status report on capital and small to medium projects
Ensure that good business relationships are maintained with business partners and other IT departments to ensure success of enhancement and projects
