This is a fantastic leadership opportunity within Nordstrom IT by providing strong leadership in defining and driving projects through the full SDLC, delivering successful results in accordance with scope, budget and time commitments. Provide hands-on management and leadership to the developers on your projects, driving them to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of their solutions. Participate as a member of a strong and diverse management team with responsibility for an overall Book of Work and shared pool of talented developers, architects, analysts and testers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Required skills include professional experience in a software development environment leading and defining business, informational and analytical requirements Experience in how to follow and adhere to a Software Development Life Cycle Resource planning and work plan management experience required Must have good communication skills Marketing and Advertising experience a plus QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years experience with leading technical projects with the understanding of .NET, HTML, Javascript, ASP, Flash, Filemaker and / or PHP Strong knowledge of development lifecycle, project management and development methodologies BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience required Experience with project management tools Experience with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Clarity Proven skill and commitment to building and maintaining relationships with all IT staff and users Able to effectively reconcile divergent demands of multiple parties in a constrained environment The above information on this definition has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
