Responsibilities: Senior Software Engineer provides expertise in the design, coding, testing, and continuous improvement of business software applications for the client. Engineer works with technical lead, project manager and other developers to design, develop and test middle tier Java components and database structures as part of a 3-tiered, object oriented web application. Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Requirements: FAA - requirement - Resume must fit on two pages (using normal size type - please no smaller than 10 pt.!) Must demonstrate ability to design, review and implement Java components (Beans) as well as database objects based on requirements. Must be able to work closely in a highly collaborative team environment. Must possess the ability to propose technical solutions and approaches based on software engineering best practices. This position requires a high level of proficiency with Java and Oracle (10g). Strong object oriented design skills required. Prefer experience implementing Design Patterns. A minimum of 7 years experience programming in Java, 5 of which were programming components in web-based applications. A minimum of 5 years programming with Oracle databases (other SQL relational database experience, such as SQL Server, will be considered also). Prefer experience developing Java components for a Cold Fusion presentation layer. Experience with Eclipse, AJAX, Dreamweaver, is a plus. The position does not require a security clearance, but candidates must be US Citizens and pass FAA security screening for positions of public trust.

Education: Successful completion of a post-secondary school curriculum leading to a Bachelors or higher degree in related discipline and/or technical school certificates and training in the Computer Systems Engineering or related career field. 10 years experience in related field can substitute for the academic requirement.
