The God of Carnage was originally called Le Dieu du Carnage. This play was first performed in Zurich, Switzerland on December 8, 2006. It is the brainchild of its creator Yasmina Reza and was first directed by Jurgen Gosch.
This play is about two pairs of parents, who have met to discuss a situation between their children at school. The child of one of the parents has hurt the other child. These parents had originally met in a civilized adult manner, however, as the evening progresses, these parents become very childish resulting in the evening turning into a total disaster.
