Job Title: Rotordynamics Engineer

Summary: Seeking an experienced, full-time engineer/experimentalist with training and experience in rotordynamics, structural design and analysis, and structural laboratory testing. This person will be responsible for operating and further developing an advanced rotordynamics test facility developed in coordination with NASA for obtaining unique turbomachinery and rocket turbopump rotordynamic and stability measurements. Responsibilities also include stress and natural frequency analysis of stationary and rotating hardware, rotordynamic analysis of complex shafting systems, and layout/design/analysis of shafts, bearings and seals for turbomachinery applications. Experience with ANSYS is desirable. Secondary responsibilities include some project management, and direction of junior engineers and CAD designers. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. This position requires an earned degree in engineering (M.Sc., Ph.D.) and at least five years' experience in laboratory testing, rotordynamics, and structural analysis.
