1          Finding a comfortable path and learning to express your feelings and needs, so that you need not mask feelings with toxic substances.

2         Learning to relax and developing leisure activities without the use of drugs or alcohol.

3         Learning healthy boundaries to deal with anger management, socialization, and domestic violence issues.

4         Re-establishing or maintaining family relationship that support recovery

5         Aftercare planning, to include facilitating an appropriate educational plan as well as continued substance abuse prevention.CE

PATHFINDERS SERVICES PROVIDED FOR YOUTH

Daycare Rehabilitative Program is a program for youth and adolescents male and female ages 13-17 to collaborative effort with the Kern County Department of Health and Human Services, California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs and Kern County Mental Health Services.

Daycare Rehabilitative Program is a one year treatment program. After four to six months of compliance, clients may receive a certificate for completion of a substance abuse program. All group sessions are three hours minimum as per state and county guidelines. Groups typically meet three nights per week at three hours per session. 

Daycare Rehabilitative Program views chemical dependency as a family illness and we are available, throughout your treatment, to help your family and friends find ways to support your recovery.

Daycare Rehabilitative Program focuses on anger management, substance abuse, socialization, domestic violence, HIV/Aids awareness, family reunification, independent living, and tutoring, mentoring, and physical fitness.

Daycare Rehabilitative Program will also focus on therapeutic and diversionary recreation such as art therapy, journal writing, physical health and nutrition. Snacks are also provided.

MFT counselor will work with group and individually to work with youth on present and past issues that are influencing decision making.

GROUPS ARE HELD Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 4:30-7:30 pm
