Stand up Comedy Class at the Mad House Comedy Club

Greetings Potential Students,

If you’re interested in performing stand up comedy, overcoming the fear of public speaking or just want to learn how to write a joke, this class is for you. It is a seven-week course with an eighth week graduation showcase. This class, unlike some other “stand up workshops,” is taught by an actual professional, working comedian. Crazy concept, we know.

My name is Joe Charles and I will personally walk you through the first steps of beginning a career in comedy. I’m not selling you empty promises of superstardom, fame and fortune. As it is in life, how far you go in stand up is up to you. I am, however, guaranteeing you that I will give you the basic tools to start performing stand up comedy. This class covers joke writing, stage performance, press kits, websites, booking gigs, things to avoid, and many other aspects of comedy.
